Give 1% (at least) During Advent
We invite you to dedicate at least 1% of your day each day (about 15 minutes) in Advent to read through Mark’s Gospel. (Access the reading list by clicking here.) What a wonderful way to prepare for the celebration of Christmas!
Sunday, December 1 ~ Advent Begins
This first Sunday of Advent, our sanctuary will be beautifully decorated for the season, and our music and message will help us prepare for the coming of Christ into our world.
Wednesday Evening Advent Services (7:00 p.m.)
Each Wednesday in Advent (December 4, 11, 18), we will gather in the Faith sanctuary to worship. These evenings are truly a respite amidst from what can be a busy season. Each service will be livestreamed as well. Special services include:
- Advent Dinner & Contemplative Service (12/4): Join us in Link Hall at 5:30 p.m. for dinner. Then we will gather in the sanctuary at 7:00 for worship. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper as well.
- Candlelight Memorial Service (12/11): This evening is a time to remember and honor loved ones who have passed away. The service will include special readings, a brief meditation, and a time to remember loved ones by lighting a candle. We hope this will be a time of encouragement, strength, care, and healing for all who come. The service begins at 7:00 p.m.
- Lessons & Carols (12/18): Our music team will lead us in an evening of carol singing interspersed with Gospel readings celebrating the birth of Christ. Be ready to sing along! Join us at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments by the fire pit will follow.
Tuesday, December 24 ~ Christmas Eve Candlelight Services (7:00 & 11:00 p.m.)
