Gathering in the sanctuary brings the congregation together to worship the Lord and affirm the reality of Christ’s Lordship. Being physically together in one place focuses our attention, enhances times of silence and stillness, and gives the entire congregation an opportunity to the Gospel message proclaimed together. Our liturgy (i.e. the elements and order of our service) is a work of all the people, not just the leaders up front. Participation, even remotely if necessary, builds the church as the body of Christ. Our worship is greatly inspired when we are together.
