Stewardship

As people created in God’s image and given dominion over God’s creation (Genesis 1:26), we actively engage in the care and management of the resources God has entrusted to us as a congregation. This stewardship includes disposition of our material wealth, use of our knowledge and abilities, expenditures of our time, and engagement of relationships that result in faithfully living out our beliefs. We do this for three reasons—1) so that God might be glorified as we care for the creation God has entrusted to our care, 2) in response to the love shown by Christ through His sacrifice for us and 3) that we might grow in love and gratitude as a church family through our acts of stewardship.

We teach about stewardship so that all who participate with our congregation will know they have an opportunity to love and serve God regardless of age, health, economic status, influence, or abilities. We provide for the regular giving of financial resources to maintain and expand the ministry of Faith as we seek to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. We encourage one another to discover specifics ways to engage in the ministry of Faith with the time and talents we are given. No matter one’s status, whether new to Faith, inactive during a season of time, or established as members, we invite each to contribute, in even a small way, to engage in acts of stewardship at Faith Church.
