Prayer

As a congregation, we commit to praying daily where we use Scripture, Creeds, and Confessions as guides in corporate worship, small gatherings, and individual prayer. As we yearn for fluency in prayer as the disciples did when they implored Jesus to “Teach us to pray,” (Luke 11:1) we teach prayer through modeling, instruction and practicing of prayer. We believe all prayer, regardless of language, grammar, and eloquence are received by God.

Prayer is a gift of God’s grace and is essential for deepening our relationship with Him. Through it, our priorities are re-set as we yield our desires to God’s, seeking more of what God wants for us. We pray with submission, knowing God’s compassion, mercy and grace will ensure God’s will is done. As Jesus prayed, so do we.
