An Invitation

Our love for Christ leads us to trust him as Savior and Lord, giving our lives to follow him as his disciples that we might see Christ formed in us. We are committed to this mission at Faith because we remember that Jesus commissioned us to go and make disciples who are baptized into the Triune God (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) and who learn to obey everything he commanded us (i.e., to live our lives as he would live our lives if he were in our shoes). The truth of Christianity is that Jesus didn’t just come to die for us, but also to live in us. And Christ is formed in us not only for our own sakes but for the sake of the world around us, that we might be used to share the love and grace of Jesus with a broken and thirsty world.

In John 15:5, Jesus tells us, “I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who aide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.” We are not commanded to bear fruit, only to abide in Jesus, to make our home in him as he makes his home in us. As we do, he will bear fruit in and through our lives. This portion of our website is dedicated to help us better abide in Jesus. We invite you to explore the ‘practices’ section. Here you will find something we call our Congregational Rule of Life, a set of practices we believe will help us better abide. We are thrilled that you are willing to join us in this journey.
