One Child One Hen Kenya Project

One Child One Hen Kenya Project

Faith church partners with the One Child One Hen Poverty Alleviation Project in Kenya which collects recyclable cans and plastic bottles donated by Faith parishioners and redeems them for cash, in addition to accepting cash donations. 100 aluminum cans is worth about $5 USD, which in turn in remote western Kenya equals one hen. The project is helping alleviate poverty by providing hens to communities in addition to teaching them how to care for and produce eggs which provide protein.

You can drop your recyclable cans and plastic bottles at the church to help.
