Winter “Stay-At-Home” Retreat
What’s a Stay-at-Home Retreat?
Seem like a contradiction in terms? How can you retreat at home? Let us show you!
Usually our retreats involve heading off to the mountains, which can be wonderful. But not everybody can make that journey and so we created this new retreat format which is quickly becoming a favorite tradition. Think of all the things we love most about retreats: extended times together as a church family, great food, room for all ages, vibrant times of worship, and compelling speakers who help us grow in grace and faith. All in a beautiful setting…which we happen to have right here on our own church campus. (And all at a fraction of the cost!) Late January or early February annually.
Everyone is welcome to attend Faith’s All-Church Retreat, held annually the weekend after Labor Day at the Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. The retreat, which runs from Friday night through Sunday noon, features a dynamic guest retreat leader, worship, prayer, fellowship, and fun.
This annual event for the women of the church is held at Mercy Center Auburn on a weekend in early spring. Outstanding guest speakers lead the retreat, which is a time for worship, renewal, community and learning. Our 2018 Women’s Retreat speaker will be Nancy Buschart, a spiritual director and retreat facilitator, who will lead us in a time of learning about and experiencing prayer.
Men & Boys’ Retreat
The Men & Boys’ Retreat is held the first weekend in June at Westminster Woods, and all men and boys from ages 6 to 100 are invited! This is not exclusively a father/son retreat; all men are welcome (though if you have a father or son, bring him along!). For more information about “The Woods,” visit their website: http://www.westminsterwoods.org/.
Please contact the church office at (916) 428-3439 for more information about our retreats.
